FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

1415 11TH Ave in downtown Altoona.  We are between Bill Sell's BOLD and Kerr's Kreations.

WHERE IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

During our business hours on street parking is free.  There is also a large parking lot behind the brewery which is also free.  The brewery has a rear entrance from the lot.

DO YOU OFFER GROWLER FILLS?

We do fills on some of our beers.  Due to capacity and demand issues we cannot always offer fills of every beer.  Beers available for fills are clearly marked on our TAP LIST page.  Please see our Growler Fill Policy.

DO YOU SELL FOOD?

We have a limited food menu consisting of snack items and sandwiches.  Our focus is on producing beer, we are not a restaurant.  We do allow customers to bring their own food or order food for delivery.  We do not allow outside beverages.

DO YOU ACCEPT RESERVATIONS?

No. Due to our limited seating capacity we operate on a first-come, first-seated basis. 

CAN I RENT THE BREWERY FOR AN EVENT?

Possibly.  We do occasionally rent out the pub for private events.  Please contact us at info@railroadcitybrewing.com for availability, pricing, etc.  We do not do rental bookings over the phone.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We take cash, and credit/debit cards.

ARE CHILDREN / MINORS / PETS ALLOWED AT THE BREWERY?

We allow minors and well behaved children as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Minors may not be seated at the bar, and we kindly ask that they do not disturb other guests.  Unfortunately, if the children/minors are disruptive to other guests we may have to kindly ask you to leave.

EXCEPTION: During road closures for Street Fairs, Races, Parades, and other events, we do occasionally Not Allow minors on site due to the increase amount of traffic.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

We do not allow pets.

DO YOU SELL WINE / LIQUOR / CIDER?

We do sell a limited selection of PA Wines.  We do not sell liquor or hard cider.

DO YOU DO BREWERY TOURS?

No.  Due to insurance and liability issues we do not allow patrons in the brewery area.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

WHY WAS I CARDED / ASK FOR ID?

Regardless of the age you appear, it is Pennsylvania State law that all patrons consuming alcohol have a valid (not expired) photo ID.  Acceptable forms of ID are drivers license, state id card, photo passport.

Additionally, we will not serve any patrons who are or appear to be intoxicated for any reason.

We will be more than happy to arrange transportation (Cab, Uber, etc.) at our expense for any patrons who feel that they may have had too much to drink.  Just ask!
